St. Louis Cardinals fans are looking forward to another winning season in hopes of adding a twelfth world championship banner to Busch Stadium. The Cardinal faithful will have to wait until late October for that, but they will not have to wait for some new additions to Busch Stadium.

New entry restrictions look to keep patrons safe while cutting down lines by restricting backpacks and open containers. However, the truly exciting additions rolled out by hospitality partner Delaware North will come inside the stadium and they are incr-EDIBLE!
In 2017, Busch Stadium is not adding as extensive of a new menu as other parks, but there are some exciting new options. Fans can grab a one-third-pound sausage served one of three ways. They will choose from an Old World bratwurst served with sauerkraut, an Italian sausage served with sautéed onions and peppers, or a chorizo, also served with sautéed onions and peppers.

The next menu item was uniquely chosen through a fan contest that was voted on March 9-12th. Fans submitted their food description through Twitter using #CardsFoodie. The fan winner of the contest picked the Redbird Chicken sandwich. It’s a breaded and fried chicken breast tossed in Buffalo chicken sauce and served on a bun with melted provolone cheese.
“We’re always striving to improve the gameday experience at Busch Stadium,” said Vicki Bryant, Cardinals Vice President of Event Services & Merchandising. “The Fan Food Challenge is a great way to engage with our fans and determine what kind of concession options our fans want at the ballpark.”
This year, the Cardinals joined the mobile-food movement with the Cardinals Nation food truck. The truck offers such stadium-inspired flare as bacon-wrapped brats, smashed burgers and Italian beef sandwiches. “It is more of an extension of a ballpark experience than a restaurant experience,” said Nate Green, Cardinals Nation director of operations.

The two truck favorites come directly from Ballpark Village where they are also available. The nachos, Ballpark Village top seller, and the macaroni and cheese, which on the truck is mixed with brisket that is smoked in the stadium.
Kid-friendly options have been upgraded as well with the renovated family pavilion. The new and improved feature will offer child-friendly concessions including half-size hot dogs, Rice Krispies Treats, milk. Most exciting is the still-to-be-built playground and climbing/crawling structure, as well as, virtual reality games.
One thing St. Louis fans can always count on is ice-cold, locally brewed, Budweiser brewed flowing from the taps on game days. However, with the new improvements, some prices have gone up including 20 oz. Budweiser, which will now be sold for $9.25.
