UberEATS Teams Up with San Diego Gulls & Levy Restaurants for In-Seat Food Delivery
March 1, 2017
While in-stadium seat ordering is nothing new at this point, oftentimes it's reserved for the VIP or club seats. Uber looks to change that. The tech company's food division, UberEATS, has partnered with the NHL minor league team, San Diego Gulls and hospitality partner, Levy Restaurants to bring in-seat food delivery to the entire arena.
Fans can order food in the UberEATS app right from their seat and get it delivered without having to get up. Warning: you still might have to move to get alcohol, this is food only... for now.
To start, UberEATS and Levy Restaurants is offering selections from the following concession stands:
Cali Comfort BBQ
This is Uber's first signed deal with a professional sports team and with Levy Restaurants. If the partnership goes well, there is potential to expand to multiple venues nationwide as Levy Restaurants partners with several NHL, NBA, MLB, and NFL teams. UberEATS currently sits at 60 markets nationwide and launched in San Diego last June.
For a limited team, delivery is free. Here's how to order.

The Gulls moved to San Diego in 2015 and are part of the AHL, American Hockey League, the NHL's developmental league. Originally founded in 2000 as the Norfolk Admirals, they are now affiliated with the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks' home, the Honda Center, brought their food operations in house in 2013 after a 19-year run with Aramark.
