For a limited time (Feb 17- Feb 20) Topgolf, the country’s premier golf entertainment company, will launch a one-of-a-kind venue located atop the third tier of the Seattle Mariners’ Safeco Field. Patrons can enjoy club atmosphere, cool drinks, and great food all while launching golf balls into the outfield.
If you haven’t been to Topgolf before, it’s more than just a driving range, Topgolf prides itself on creating a golfing experience that combines the social aspect of food, drinks and music with its tech-heavy application that creates gameplay with its proprietary pro-tracer technology that can track each shot off the Safeco Field concourse.
"We are excited not only to introduce Topgolf to Seattle but to do it in the most edgy, outrageous fashion at the home of the Seattle Mariners," said Topgolf Vice President of Sales and Marketing Susan Walmesley. "You have the energy of the ballpark mixed with the thrill of hitting these crazy shots alongside your friends, which make for an unforgettable experience. You don't have to be a golfer to appreciate that Safeco Field is the city's playground while Topgolf Crush is in town."
Founded in 2000, Topgolf currently operates 29 venues worldwide, employs more than 10,000 Associates and serves 13 million guests annually. It combines a nightclub and sports bar atmosphere with an interactive driving range. Last May, Top Golf became the hottest new attraction on the Las Vegas Strip after opening their 105,000 square foot venue beside the MGM Grand. Their flagship location includes 108 hitting bays, fully stocked bar, concert venue, and much more.
After conquering the Sin City, the golf juggernaut turns its eye towards the MLB with the special event, Topgolf Crush. According to CEO Erik Anderson, “Topgolf Crush is bringing social, entertainment and a sport experience to world class venues… We wrap music, food and video content around the experience.”
The company hopes that the four day event will bring in over 8,000 fans at a time when the stadium wouldn’t normally be in use. Tee times are sold in pairs and reserved in one-hour increments at $65 for general admission and $125 for VIP packages. Anderson went on to say the company plans to open 20 to 50 arenas and stadiums booked for 2017 along with the help of national corporate sponsors.
