Bacon & Beer Classic Chicago - Best Festival Ever?
September 23, 2016
The Bacon and Beer festival is back! After a sold out crowd last fall in Chicago, the festival returns to the Windy City and it's going to be even better.
On Saturday, October 1st over 30 local restaurants and 40 regional breweries will serve up delicious bacon-infused dishes and craft beer (did we mention it's bacon?). You can play giant Jenga (awesome!), battle it out on the bungee run (even better!) and even enter the bacon eating contest (oh yeah!!).
Get 15% off tickets with the code word FOODIE.
There are two sessions, 12-3pm and 6-9pm and prices start at $59. Make sure to purchase your tickets before they sell out.
The all-star lineup of breweries includes Half Acre Brewery, 4 Hands Brewing Co., Noon Whistle Brewing and 3 Sheeps Brewing Co.; all will be pouring two of their best craft beers or ciders. Chefs from Public House, Red Door, Flo, Knife & Tine and more will bring their most inventive bacon-infused dishes to the plate. A panel of judges will be on site to rate the sips and tastes and also award winners in select categories. The restaurant awarded the Best Overall Bacon Dish will go on to compete in the 2016 World Food Championships in Orange Beach, Alabama.
Hosted in professional sports stadiums, the Bacon and Beer Classic is one of the fastest-growing food and beverage festivals in the country. The 2016 tour has featured over five destinations nationwide, including Denver's Mile High Stadium, Santa Clara’s Levi’s Stadium and New York’s Citi Field. Cannonball Productions works hard to make this national festival feel personal to each city. Along with a variety of charitable organizations, Cannonball Productions will partner with a Chicago-based food recovery program to save and donate leftover food.
